We all enjoy the Thunder Over Indian River fireworks show for the 4th of July (with the chaos of last year as an exception). However, due to some changes with the rates at the community center, there will not be any fundraising dances to support Thunder Over Indian River this year.
There were always 3 dances to support this even so now we need a way to raise $2500. Any ideas?

I've done some charity fund raising events in the past, and the one that always seemed to be a hit was a Chili Cookoff. Funds can be raised from cooks' entrance fees, the general public's fee to eat, and if you add a raffle to the mix it can generate good money. If you get local businesses to donate prizes and gift certificates (maybe some beverages) you pretty much have no overhead as food is covered by the contestants.
