Are we back to where we started?

Do we all remember when Space coast opened? It was opened to fix the over population problems happening in Clearlake and Jackson middle schools. And then eventually was turned into a Jr/Sr high school to fix the over crowding problems at Titusville and Cocoa. So here we are about 15 years later and we are going back to where we started. This does not fix any problems here in port st john. What is there solution to ship our kids 45 min to schools that will inevitable be overcrowded as well. You cannot tell me and expect me to believe that 15 years later it will be okay to send our kids from PSJ to other middle schools and have all the problems go away. This re districting seems to me to be a last ditch effort to improve schools that are lacking in the terms of these standardize tests. We are going right back to where we started. He is a novel idea, lets try something new.

Lets think about what is best for the education of our children. Is it a good idea to send our children 45 mins to a school were they know no one from their neighborhood. All this will do is create clicks and perpetuate the problems that were present in Space Coast before the reopening of Clearlake. He is an idea how about keeping our kids in PSJ, make the appropriate additions to Space coast that were supposed to happen before Viera was build. But I guess that this is not an option at this time.

I mean come on they just build a new high school in Viera before finishing what they started here in PSJ. I think all too often that people lose sight of what the purpose of their job is. It is to ensure the fair equal and adequate education of all w/o prejudice. It is not fair to ship a 6th grader 45 min on a bus to obtain his or her education when it can be provided in his or her own town. To provide the adequate education the resolution needs to be additions to the schools here in PSJ.

But what do i know I just care.

Clearlake having a low attendance record of children, I would like to know how many of the children living near Clearlake are attending a school of choice or have a voucher to attend another school instead of attending school in their own district. It might surprise quite a few parents on the children that are not attending school in their own districts.
