Parent involvment is important!

Does anyone know what the percentage of parent involvement is at Space Coast? I know that it has to be high because I always see a ton of parent volunteers when I'm at an event. I'm sure those numbers will decline for those students sent to Clearlake. It will be harder for parents to travel back and forth especially when you have your other children's activities as well to keep up with.

Clearlake does not have a steel drum band but Space Coast does? What are some other things our students will miss out on if they attend Clearlake? This is not just a bussing issue.

If you haven't already voiced your opinion to the board, do it now. Below are their email addresses:

MurrayBa@brevard.k12.fl.us

Also, since our school board is following the laws set up by the state. We need to send letters to there as well. Here is the address:

space coast has a steel drum band for HIGH SCHOOL not the middle school. you do have to take band in all the middle schools years to get onto the steel drum band. (this is what my neighbor told me as she is in the steel drum band).

but that is a great idea...i am sure there are many activities that student will miss out on, especially since they will be being bussed a longer distance...

there is a volunteer coordinator at space coast, can't remember the name, but she/he got an award at the county award ceremonies this last fall.

I have an email into Mr. Anderson clarifying if middle school students are still participating in Space Coast Steel. Up until this year I know they were.
