Team Kyle Needs your help.

Kyle is 14 years old. He is active with both the PSJ Rockets Football and Cheerleading League and the JV baseball team for Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School. He has an older brother named Kolby and a younger sister named Karissa. His mother, Kari Davis owns Discovery Learning Center in PSJ. His father, Mark Davis, has coached many football and baseball teams in the community. The family has been very active in their community. Kyle is a straight A student and in the National Jr. Honor Society as well as the spelling bee champ 2 years in a row at Space Coast. He is a member of New Life Christian Fellowship in Titusville where he is active with the youth group.

Kyle was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) on March 6, 2008. ALL is a fast-growing cancer of the white blood cells. Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell that the body uses to fight infections. In ALL, the bone marrow makes lots of unformed cells called blasts that normally would develop into lymphocytes. However, the blasts are abnormal. They do not develop and cannot fight infections. The number of abnormal cells (or leukemia cells) grows quickly. They crowd out the normal red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets the body needs.
