Elections these days--LOL!

Here's something that struck me as funny...

I'm a big believer in anyone should be able to run for public office. When candidates went door to door or stood outside popular places to get signatures on their petition so they could run for office I would always sign the petition. Even if they were affiliated with a different party than me. I did this simply because that is how it is suppose to work.
The technology age has transformed that. These days you get an e-mail asking you to print your own copy, solicit your own family, use your own stamp to support a candidate. I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt to the candidates. I'm sure this is just one resource to tap. I would hope that they would still plan to make their case to the people face to face, to answer questions from the voters and to get the signatures the old fashion way, door to door, person to person. I hope they don't plan on relying upon this plan alone that, to me, is the epitome of lazy.
Don't get me wrong, the internet is a great place to be heard, I obviously have used it but I also walked a parade and handed out fliers, step by step.
