School Board proposal to cut up to 180 positions...

I was looking for the new 2008-2009 school calendar and found this info on Florida today...

On Tuesday, Superintendent Richard DiPatri will announce his recommendations to slash almost $22 million from the district's operating budget, a cutback that could result in the loss of about 180 jobs.

The educators at risk are those with annual contracts -- teachers who have been in the district three years or less and haven't yet achieved job security.
