I had excellent sub sandwiches at a graduation party last month and had to ask where they came from, Bagel Paradise on Curtis. I decided to order a 6ft sub from there for my son’s birthday. I couldn’t beat the price, $55 for 6ft ham and turkey sub with 2 types of cheese plus, all the fixin’s on the side. Christine was super nice and helpful on the phone. She asked if we were going to be having the party at home or at a park and how many guests we would have. She also told me about the many side dishes they make and knew exactly what I was talking about when I told her that potato salad was my mom’s thing and that I couldn’t possibly purchase theirs no matter how good it was.
When we went to pick up the sub, I was hoping we had enough coolers to fit everything. The lovely people at Bagel Paradise were so thoughtful and packed our 6ft sub into foot-long sections, plus the fixin’s, that they normal put on a tray, were put into smaller containers so that we could easily fit everything in our coolers. The sub was excellent and having one less thing to worry about made my son’s 1st birthday even more special. Thanks Bagel Paradise!
We had the party at Tom Statham Park and yeah to them as well! When we got there we could tell that the tables had just been cleaned that morning. The bathrooms were clean (as clean as park bathrooms can be) and fully stocked with toilet paper and paper towels. Someone from parks and rec even came out halfway through our party and emptied the trashcans (in the rain, I might add). The only downside is that during the downpour we didn’t know how to turn the lights on within the pavilion, which would have made it a little easier to see in-between the lighting strikes. It’s one of the few parks around that still has swings and is very well shaded. I totally recommend renting the pavilion for your next outdoor gathering. Thanks Parks and Rec!
