BPS Calendar Identifies Four Make-Up Days That Can Be Used Due to Tropical Storm Fay

VIERA—The 2008-2009 Brevard Public Schools calendar adopted by the School Board identifies emergency make-up days to be taken if needed. Given that Tropical Storm Fay forced the closure of Brevard schools Aug. 19, 20, 21 and 22, the district will implement this built-in contingency and conduct school on the emergency days that the calendar designates:
Oct. 17, Nov. 11, Dec. 22 and Dec. 23.

As semester exams are designed as the culminating activity before Winter Break, they will now be scheduled for Dec. 19, 22 and 23. The complete district calendar is available on the BPS Web site at www.brevardschools.org.
