WHY is the school board suggesting to take away from PSJ residents the chance to attend their school of choice in their own neighborhood?
Brevard has been touted/and promoted by parents and leaders as a district of "Choice". This school of choice issue has put us in the situation we sit at today. The natural Clearlake parents have chosen their schools of choice and it is not Clearlake. Doesn't it go against the whole idea of "schools of choice" to FORCE students to attend a school of UNchoice?
Please write your school board now and tell them your school of choice is the one in your own neighborhood.

I think that when the School Board says "CHOICE" they don't mean we as parents get to pick which school we want. I think that "CHOICE" means specific schools with "CHOICE" programs. I may be wrong??
I think you are taking my thinking too literally--great that is the point I am making.
I am trying to use the irony of the literal translation of the term "choice" for a stand out point that we in PSJ have no "choice" in the matter if they go forward with the plans for soft-redistricting.
When one types letters, one usually reads it to themselves with their own emphasis on certain words. My family often tells me that they can't read my mind. I guess that translates to my sarcasm in typing too;-)
